NMSES, the Nanaimo Division, and PSP invite you to attend:

Trauma Informed Care:
Understanding Adverse Childhood Events (ACE’s) and How they Impact Pregnant/Postpartum Women & Families

Join facilitators Jan Ference (BEd., M.S. in Counselling, IPMHF) and Roxanne Blemmings (MSW, CYMHSU Collaborative Lead) in a workshop to:

-Understand how the developing brain is affected by trauma and neglect
-Appreciate how a history of trauma affects women and their partners during the perinatal period and in the parenting
-Learn how to use the ACE’s questionnaire in your practice
-Discover and share your knowledge of local community resources for support/treatment of perinatal mood disorders and identify resource gaps in Nanaimo

This CME is accreditted for 2 Mainpro+ credits
